Cozumel: cruise port guide

Mexico's top cruise island, about 48 km long, with several cruise piers on its west coast.

The piers

Cozumel has several cruise piers. SSA Mexico's International Pier, on the coastal road south of town, says it receives more than 40% of the ships that call at the island.

What to do

According to Cozumel Tourism:

  • Chankanaab, inside Cozumel Reefs National Park: beach, snorkelling and diving
  • Punta Sur park, the island's largest nature reserve, with the Celarain lighthouse and Colombia lagoon
  • El Cielo, a sandbar with starfish reached only by boat
  • Isla de la Pasión, north of Cozumel
