Naples: cruise port guide

Ships dock at the Stazione Marittima in the heart of Naples, the gateway to Pompeii, Vesuvius and the Amalfi Coast.

The terminal

The Stazione Marittima is run by Terminal Napoli and has 7 cruise berths along 1,100 m of quay. It is next to Piazza Municipio and the Castel Nuovo.

What to do

According to the City of Naples:

  • The historic centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1995
  • Castel Nuovo (Maschio Angioino), a civic museum and picture gallery
  • Castel dell'Ovo, the city's oldest castle on the seafront (currently closed for restoration)
  • Church of Santa Croce e Purgatorio al Mercato, in Piazza Mercato in the historic centre
  • San Domenico Maggiore monumental complex, where Thomas Aquinas and Giordano Bruno studied
